Mixed Media Layout - Scrap Around the World & Limor Webber

I watched Limor's video announcing this challenge and checked out the sketches. I just had to do the sketch from Scrap Around the World. I used similar techniques to Limor. I have never used this style on a scrapbooking layout before, even though I have admired the style for a long time.
I'm very happy with the way my layout turned out.

I'm super excited that Limor is coming to Townsville in November/December. I'm off to my LSS tomorrow to sign up for this once in a life time event!! Yay!!!

*The Mood board from Scrap Around the World inspired me to make my own Stencil using my Silhouette Cameo.

A Walk in the Park - A Craft Affair kit challenge - September

My Local Scrapbooking Store - A Craft Affair have a kit/sketch challenge each month. I purchased the kit this month and this is what I created.

The papers and embellishments in the kit were from Fancy Pants Designs - Park Bench collection.

Enjoy the Ride - Glitter Girls's Scrapbook Survival Guide - Class 1

I recently signed up to 2 Peas in a Bucket's - Glitter Girl's Scrapbook Survival Guide workshop.

This is the layout I created by following the first video of the first class. It was all about how to get through the piles of photos and the first class was on using smaller photos.
All products used are from Kaszazz  (except for the ‘Let’s go be Adventures' strip from Dear Lizzy - Luck Charm)

Show us your Stuff - September Challenge

This months challenge at Show us your Stuff was to use Red & White (and a homemade embellishment of course)

I got a bit carried away with mists and stencils on this layout but I like the end result.
I used a Charms Creation - Lovely Lollipop as my homemade embellishment.

123 Challenge Blog - September Challenge

This month at 123 Challenge blog the challenge was...
Colour = Pink
Word = Sweet
Technique = Floral

Now I'm not much into floral prints like the frilly girly ones but I found this lovely floral pattern paper frmo Bo Bunny that worked well for me.

 Paper: Bo Bunny  - Back to Basics
Embellishments: Cham's Creations - Heavenly Heart, flowers using Kaszazz daisy punches and brads, Silhouette Cameo die cuts and title.
*the word "Sweet" is used in the title as "sweetie" and also in the journalling.

Scrap the Gils - September challenge

This month at Scrap the Girls they had a colour challenge. The colours to use were Green, Orange & Pink.

 I recently got a new label maker and it came with an old school style one as well (I have left my old one in Tasmania in storage). It was fun to do this style of journalling again.
Paper: Bo Bunny - Back to Basics
Title: American Crafts - Thickers
Embellishments: Charms Creations - Page runner, washi tape, flowers made using Kaszazz daisy punches and brads.

Paper: Studio Calico - Yearbook (6x6 pad), Kraft cardstock.
Embellishments: Basic Grey chipboard, Amy Tangerine die cuts and Silhouette Cameo die cuts and title

Scrapbooking from Scratch - September Challenges

The challenges over at Scrapbooking from Scratch this month were fantastic, and really got into the scrapping groove for the month. Below are the layouts I created for each challenge.

 Anita's sketch Challenge...

I created a splatter background with Lindys Stamp Gang spray in Sandra Dee Sepia then used a stencil and  spritzed on a random design over the top in the same colour. I used a transparency piece from Glitz designs and papers from Dear Lizzy's Lucky Charm collection. Chipboard from Basic Grey, enamel dots from My Minds Eye, Kaszazz twine and washi tape. Letter stickers from Grace Taylor - Grant Archival.

 Donna's colour challenge...

To create the background I used Gel Medium to stick down pieces of patterened tissue and sponged paint through a stencil to create the chevrons and the border at the top and bottom.
Paper: Amy Tangarine - Sketchbook, Dear Lizzy - 5th & Frolic, and Bella! - Paper Doll.
Embellishments:  Teresa Collins - Sweet Afternoon die cuts, Prima flower, washi tape and Jillibead Soup - fresh vegetable soup lable stickers.
Title: Silhouette Cameo die cut

Charm's quote challenge...

Background: gesso and Lindys Stamp Gang  spray - Danny Zuko's Denim
Embellishments: Ruby Rocket journalling cards, print n' cut files by Dru Cortez - Bee Mine, and Summer Brights.
Papers: Amy Tangerine - Ready Set Go (6x6 paper pad)
Title: I cut the title from the background using my Silhouette Cameo and then placed patterned paper behind it. I had seen this done on pintrest and really liked the technique.
