Project Life Week 6

I am managing to keep on track with my Project Life this year. I'm making YouTube videos of the process which has helped me to stay on track. Check out Oh Shiny Scrapbooking
I made this spread with the February challenge from Life Zesters in mind. The challenge was to use Wood in any way. It could be wood veneer, patterned paper, wood grain stamp, etc. I used all three types in my spread and I also used two embellishments from Charms Creations. I didn't have many photo's this week so I had to use a bit of creativity to fill the spaces. I made a couple of lists of things I liked as well as a 'currently' card and I made my own filler cards in 6x4 size. It was a lot of fun to do even though it was a bit challenging.

White with 1 - January

It has been over a year since I have scrapbooked a 12x12 layout. I have been concentrating mostly on weekly Project Life spreads and filming the process for my YouTube channel and blog, Oh Shiny Scrapbooking. It was so nice to sit down today (yep the last day of the month) and try and do a couple of challenges. Well I did it and I managed to scrap three 12x12 layouts. I'm so happy with how they turned out too.

The following layout is made for the White with 1 Blog challenge for January. It is of my daughter Amelia and done for no other reason as I loved the photo. Thanks for taking the time to look.

Cheers

Happy New Year everyone!

I have started off the year with a much better plan for my Project Life scrapping. This year I will be editing and printing weekly and then recording process videos on my YouTube Channel Oh Shiny Scrapbooking (I have a blog to... here).

I have also managed to do another spread from 2013!!!

Scrapbooking from Scratch - Charm's Colour Challenge - Oct

This months colour challenge at Scrapbooking from Scratch was brought to us by Charm and was to use the colours, yellow, black, white & pink.

I used these really cute Charms Creations chevrons on my page.

Scrap the Girls - October

This month at Scrap the Girls the challenge was a puzzle challenge. You had to include these shapes somewhere on your layout.
  • Hexagon - on the background
  • Squiggle - used a white die cut squiggle
  • Circle - used as embellishment spots
  • Rectangle - the shape of the patterned paper
  • Strips - Strip journalling done with a label maker

I also used a Charms Creations Lush Lollipop & a Mini Runner on my page.

Show Us Your Stuff - October

This month at Show Us your Stuff the challenge was to use multiple photos and arrows on your layout as well as your hand made embellishment.

I used these three photos of my Nephew, Kynan, skating and showing off his skills at the local skate park. I stamped arrows in amongst the strips of patterned paper and used a Charms Creations lollypop on my layout as well as some die cuts that I created on my Silhouette. To create the background I cut out a skater stencil with my silhouette and sprayed over it using Dylusions black spray. I added a few silver star sequins for an added pop of embellishment.

Mixed Media Layout - Scrap Around the World & Limor Webber

I watched Limor's video announcing this challenge and checked out the sketches. I just had to do the sketch from Scrap Around the World. I used similar techniques to Limor. I have never used this style on a scrapbooking layout before, even though I have admired the style for a long time.
I'm very happy with the way my layout turned out.

I'm super excited that Limor is coming to Townsville in November/December. I'm off to my LSS tomorrow to sign up for this once in a life time event!! Yay!!!

*The Mood board from Scrap Around the World inspired me to make my own Stencil using my Silhouette Cameo.
